How many of you have actually shot a banded bird?

I have killed three Killed a double banded drake Mallard in 97 that was band in 87 in Saskatchewan. A drake Woodie that was band in North Dakota and a Blue Wing Teal that was band in Saskatchewan.

For about an 8-10yr stretch, a buddy of mine and I hunted most weekends of duck season. One time after a Saturday morning hunt, I helped another friend move, and pulled something in my leg...next morning I could barely walk...so my buddy goes solo and gets a banded pintail. He got another one a year or two later on an out of state hunt. That’s as close as I’ve been to a band.

I'm 59+, and started shooting ducks at the age of 12. In all of those years, I've shot 7 banded ducks, 2 dove and 1 goose.
