Has anyone ever drawn and hunted White Sands missile Reserve in New Mexico? Do you have to have an outfitter and what’s the cost of that? See the tag is $1600... any advices or pointers? We are thinking of putting in. I’m sure odds of drawing are a long shot but doing some research now. Please PM if you’d like to.

It was probably over 15 years ago but my grandfathers friend drew the tag and shot one. Don't know all the details though, sorry. -

Man I spent a lot of hot days and cold nights during boot camp in aug 1968 out there
didn't know any wildlife was out there. It was around 115 during day and in 40's at night if I remember rightComment

I drew the Stallion Range in 2011. The numbers were a bit down at the time but it was still a fun hunt and I took a real nice cow with a very unique scar by her ear that looked exactly like a capital letter A. You don't really need a guide but if you want one pm me and I can hook you up with the best.
I was thrilled to be able to hunt Gemsbok and had no idea that a year later I would transfer to work in Africa for 4 years where I would safari extensively and take many great trophy Gemsbok.
