    First High School Start

Well in the regular season anyway. Also a scrimmage. He went three innings against Humble today and gave up one run on 3 hits, w/ 5 K's, and one unbelievable behind the back snag of a hard hit ground ball and went 3 for 3 at the plate. And the coach isn''t even letting them throw their off speed pitches yet. Nothin but fast balls right now till they get their arms back in shape. He's lovin High School ball and his new coach. After two games he's pitched 5 innings, registered 9 K's, 1 earned run and allowed only 5 hits, and is 5 for 6 at the plate. Needless to say I'm a proud gloating dad. I've been all smiles at every game. I know it's early, but all the years of work are starting to show results that count. The goal is Varsity as a Sophmore next year and if he keeps working hard ( and grows a little more) I know he can do it. All the coaches in the school love his work ethic (got that from mom ), and are watching him.

Thanks for giving a proud baseball dad this time.

Great pic bzzboyz...brings back some good memories. Hope that shortstop has some wheels sitting back on the pitch with his knees locked like that.

You would'nt believe how fast that short legged sucker is. And strong as an Ox. He's really a catcher though. The coach was just looking at him there since it was a scrimmage.

Well then, being an ex-catcher, I retract my previous comment...he would then obviously be the best athlete on the team......

That's a great coach. Way too many kids screw up their arms early in their career throwing junk.

Congrats to your son and you, Dad.
