      In Southern Missouri you would be better off tailing an armadillo

        Probably wind up in a tree first, but eventually you will find a road. Right now, I would suggest following a skunk. It is skunk road kill season right now.

          Just be careful not to follow into the street !
          Stop just short of it.
          Possum don’t seem to actually get across them very well, just too them.

                  At night, just follow cows on ranches with poor fences. You’ll end up on a road with the cows in no time.

                  There was an escape artist Charolais cow that loved to get out at night and roam the roads. I learned to not have fond feelings for her after getting repeated callls late at night to come catch her.
