F150 Leveling kit and new tires

Just bought my son a 2014 Lariat F-150 Crew 4x4
He wants to put a leveling kit on it and i'm pretty sure he will need to get bigger tires so it doesn't look weird
Current tires on it are 265/70R18 BFG's

any guys out there with this experience? also pics would be helpful, with the specs. Then I can show him and he can see the difference

    Thanks for the input

I went with Bilstein 5100 adjustable ride-height shocks for my 2013 instead of a leveling kit. No noticeable change in ride quality, and the front end got a nice ~2” boost.

A 2014 could likely use new shocks anyway.

I did a 2" on my 2015 and put on 305's and had to trim the crash bars and inner plastic well to keep it from scrubbing

I wouldn't go to big you will kill the fuel mileage.

I did Bilstein level kit on my 2WD 2018. I only adjusted headlights. No tire change. But needed to get the front air**** off the ground.

            .....and God Bless America.

Have a 17 leveled on boss coilovers and got raptor rims and tires new for $700 off face book market places. Tires are 315/70/17 No rubbing and looks awesome. I would recommend the bilstein 5100’s. Best level for the money.

You will kill the fuel mileage no matter the tire size going forward. You take the rake out of these trucks and it hits in the pocketbook. Yes the headlights need to be reset. Easy to do yourself. Google it!

I'm no aerodynamicist, but you'd think making it level would help it move through the air with less drag. Everyone seems to have some mpg loss after a level is added, so clearly the factory rake has some advantage.

Were the bilsteins difficult to install?

My level had zero effect on my mileage. The bigger tires however will drastically change it.
I rode for about 20k on factory tires with a level kit. Saw no change
