I try to make everyone call me Captain Ryan in my boat... but they just stare at me.

grass edges in ditches leading to spawning flats. Traps, chatterbait and whacky rig.

if the sun is shining go shallow (like dirt shallow) and shoreline with most sunlight, a use same baits above plus a weightless fluke or senko

Traps, crankbaits and chatterbaits depending on what depth they are in. If you know they are there and these aren't getting you any reaction strikes then it's time to slow down....way down. Senko or c-rig also depending on the depth.

We did real well last weekend. Caught’em in 6-9 feet of water. We used crankbaits and Texas rigged brushhogs.

                  Good luck this weekend
This guy speaks the truth for sure. I forgot all about that rule change and even soliciting information like this will be a rule violation. I am glad I am past the HS fishing. I might have to fill in for a captain once a year but after some of what I saw, it gets under your skin.

As long as you solicit info from other anglers in the event, you are ok. If you solicit anyone that has been on the lake during off limits or anyone that is not entered, it's a violation.

But you can be a professional and still fish with your son/daughter,,,,,,
