When I was in college I rented a house from some people that had buried a box car as a storm shelter/ bunker

I have a 40 footer that is storage and used as a storm shelter. I still need to anchor it but as is its much better than my house in a tornado

I plan to seal the double doors and install a 36” steel walk in door on the opposite end. This thing will have1” of closed cell foam on the inside as well.

If you bury the whole thing, how will you get in? Seems like it could be a death trap if it started leaking and you could not get out.

The other concern is how are you gonna poop and pee in it, most women folk has to pee about ever hour.

It takes my wife an hour to get to Floresville and its only 8 miles down the road, good thing they have restrooms along the way.

I was thinking you should have two different entry/exits in case one gets blocked by debris from a tornado
