    question about tractors and HP.

I came across a kubota tractor b6200D. 4WD with 630 hours onit. Not sure of the year.
I just got 10 acres out north of Burnet and need to do some leveling Push a little dirt around.

I looks to have 15 HP...seems kinda light for me...yall's thoughts. Not sure on age and they are asking 6500.00 What kind of work would they be able to utilize?

No tractor expert by any means but 15hp is not gonna be up to doing much heavy pushing-pulling IMO. The FEL and bucket is a plus but the dimensions on that thing shows it’s a compact size.

I have a MF 235 with 42hp gas engine and it’s not huge either but much bigger by comparison. I’d like a FEL for sure though.

Weight and traction are just as important for pushing stuff around as HP. I'd go with a heavier tractor.

That is just an oversized lawnmower. Not enough weight to push the FE or pull the box blade.

That’s not going to cut it and it’s over priced

That little guy would be perfect for my 3/4 acre! That little tractor will do almost anything any big tractor will do, it'll just take you a lot, many many lots, longer!

I borrowed a buddies 33 hp Massey Ferguson, I found it would not do most of what I wanted it to do. I at first could only get about a 1/4 bucket of road base scooped up at a time. Then I figured out, if I put in 4X4 low range, with the diff lock on, I could drive the bucket into the pile of road base and get it completely full. Then the tractor would not lift the bucket, I had to dump most of the bucket out, back down to about 1/4 bucket, then it would be able to lift the bucket.

The I was dragging the box blade, with the root plow teeth down about 7" or so deep. I constantly hung roots that would stop the tractor dead I could check to see what it hung up on, usually about 1" diameter root. I was able to get a bit done, but it was slow.

So I bought a 58 hp Massey Ferguson. I have not gotten to use it yet, I am still trying to get my hands on a bucket for it, then box blade, a disc, bottom plow and maybe a tiller. My 58 hp, is quite a bit larger than my buddies 33 hp, so hopefully I can get a lot more done with it. If we did not have so many trees, that I don't want to cut down, I would have gotten a bigger tractor. What I got is about as big a tractor as I can get around between the trees on our place.

To little hp like everyone said .I have a 47hp and find it to be just enough for smaller
                Properties .

Tractors, gun safes, and shops. Buy bigger than you think you need.

                        I have a 230 MF right now, 35hp

Next one will be at least 50, 4x4 and have a loader and preferably rear remote hydraulic connection

I can pull good sized saplings up when the ground is not dried out and hard as rock. Pull a 6' shredder and with multiple passes with 6' disc get a decent prep on food plots (first year, following years are easier)

Our 45hp Mahindra is slightly under powered for dirt moving. Works great mowing or pulling a big disk. We were looking at a 65hp and wish we would have went that direction.

Get a trailer and come borrow my tractor. I'm tired of working on my place LOL

Depends on what you have to push around and how rocky it is etc.

Not a problem, don't know you would not ask and I got a tractor. So your little baby is safe.
