    Vice stand

I don’t have a spot in my garage for a big table or bench to mount a vice on. Anyone build one that can be moved around?

I am fortunate to have several heavy tables with mounted vises that don't budge. If you don't have the room I would suggest that you make a 2" receiver mount and use it on your truck. Don't know what you are planning on doing but a vise that doesn't move when using it roughly is a good thing.

Big steel truck wheel with a piece of drill pipe welded in the center. The shorter the drill pipe, the more stable it will be. Attach a plate that you can attach your vice to on the top of the drill pipe.

I've seen these in welding and black smith shops all over the state and beyond.

I have a vice on a truck wheel in my shop. I like it better than the bench mounted ones and use it more often. You can fill it with concrete to make it more bottom heavy.
