No covers on indoors. Walked in to a SOB ( state office building) awhile back and left my hat on and heard “ no covers on indoors “ from the security guard , looked around and everyone was carrying them

What the hell does riding bulls 24 years have to do with it?

I’ve worked for AT&T 23 years and counting. I grew up taking my hat off at the table as part of being a gentleman. If there’s nowhere to hang it I set it in an empty chair.

Yep , indoors lid off , picnic/ eating on the porch lid on

          Hat ed quote
“” I was always taught that real cowboys tipped their hats to a lady or female. My husband does that, as do most of the old-timers. I was taught that you take off your hat or cap in a home, church, restaurant or theater. In a public building, you can keep it on, but if you go into a courtroom, you better take it off, otherwise the judge will nail you.””

Hats off indoors (not in a store shopping or such). Good gentlemanly manners.

I take any hat I’m weary off while I’m eating, trying to make an example for my boys. That being said, my mom still gets mad at me for wearing a hat to church...

Always take mine off are leave in vehicle when going to eat indoors. Too each his own. That's the way I was taught in the late 1960's. Yes I'm an older dude.

I usually hang mine on my knee. I've layed it on the seat next to me, or even in the floor at times. I do the same with a cap. However, if there's no women around I leave it on.
