    Shrink Fletching

I tried this and followed the instructions pretty well I thought but I got a bunch of little bubbles/ rough edges right along the vane. Anyone had this problem? Have I done something wrong? At $2.50 each, it stinks to mess them up.

Maybe plunge slower.I did some and they worked fine. Was the water hot enough?

Well I think so. They said "almost boiling" but not boiling. Maybe I'll try that next???

I tried them and had the same problem as you. Mine came with an instructional DVD that I followed and still got bubbles. Could've been bad adhesive, who knows.

Mine looked fine but after shooting them for a while they walked up the arrow and I had fletch in the middle. Scooted them back in place and applied some kind of quick set glue in front. They walked over that so I said ---- ---- and gave up on it.

Is it bubbles or is there dust and debris on the shaft or in the wraps?

Pretty sure it's bubbles. You can depress them with your finger nail. I also followed the instructions on the DVD. I think it's time to go back to old faithful vanes and glue.

I use them with no problems. I boil the water then let it cool off for a little bit.

Take a blowdryer to them it will get the air bubbles out, I had this happen to me once other that the one time I have had no problems at all with the shrink fletch.

                      Finally a possible solution !
Or maybe a heat gun? "If you own one"
