If someone was really in the pranking business, they'd text him that it was a Craigslist joke sprung on him by some guy he works with named Kris, who goes by COPPERHEAD on Texasbowhunter.com, along with a link to this thread. Of course you'd want to make sure he only saved your number to text you when the "revenge" went down.

There used to be a show on the Livingston radio station called metro fair where people could call in and give a description of what they had for sale and a phone number. We would call in and give fake ads with buddy’s numbers. Best one was one of the rare days with snow on the ground in SETX and we advertised a warehouse full of Dearborn heaters that we just wanted to give away. I thought my buddy was gonna throw his phone in the lake.
