    Turkey feeder height

I have a turkey feeder that the feed comes out on to a shelf type opening so the birds have to peck downward to eat. How high off the ground can I make the shelf so they will still be able to feed?

Turkeys feed on the ground all day, everyday?

Yep, but pigs eat milo too and destroyed our ground gravity feeders. So we are going to elevate them and design a perch type system for them to stand & eat. We are thinking about 4-5 feet off ground, turkeys have no problem flying up to it. Google TPW and they have examples.

Understood. I have never seen elevated turkey feeders.
