    TYHP question

Got some questions on a TYHP hunt. My son drew the Bamberger hunt just curious if anyone has done this hunt. Would like to chat with you if you have. Headed down from Colorado in a couple of weeks.

I haven't been on that particular place.

However my son has been on two TYHP hunts this year. Pretty cool program at least for the hunts we went on anyways.

Good luck to you guys on your hunt!!!

Thanks yeah we haven't done one before so I was just trying to get a feel for it. My kids drew the Chaparral last year and that was a blast. It wasn't a TYHP hunt though.

You won't be disappointed. TYHP is a great organization.

I'm going to try to take my son on some of these next year but I haven't had any luck finding the hunters safety field courses around Lubbock

Good luck! Should be another great hunt on a wonderful property. Look up Bamberger preserve online. I imagine the kids will gets some lessons. We put in for it just for that so we'll probably try to visit sometime. The huntermaster for this hunt is a great guy and is in it for the kids, so I would expect it to be up to the high standards of the others we've been on

Anybody know if it’s open to non-residents....I mean temporarily misplaced Texans?

Nevada doesn’t let my kids hunt.

Haven’t been to that place but been on a couple years ago when I was a youth and they are a blast. Wish I could be a youth again just for these hunts. Shot my personal best buck on one back in 2010. It was my last youth hunt as a hunter

My son and I hunted there last year with TYHP. Its a good setup and the ranch is amazing. They also do a wildlife "camp" in the summer. Last year the huntmaster was a woman and was really great too. Steve the ranch manager is an awesome guy. On our hunt we were allowed to shoot whitetail and sika does (maybe spikes on the sika).

Google Selah Water from Stone....awesome story. https://vimeo.com/158492815
