Thanks y'all. I'm looking up taxidermist at the moment to see what my best option is.

Definitely a pretty animal. One of the other ones I saw the same day was smaller than it. The last one I saw was a little bigger or maybe just fluffier fur. I had already shot mine or I'd have probably shot that one.

Shot two in October but not before they killed about 10 chickens off fm 2518. Saw another but he’s pretty smart.

During the day they don't seem very smart. Most that I've seen cross the road or in the ditch at night saw headlights and got the heck out of there in a hurry. Which surprises me because they get hit on the road a lot. Seems like every one of them I've ever seen ended up on the highway dead. I think they're smart but I do think their downfall is living near humans and being too comfortable to the point of being careless.

I found out the mount will end up costing me anywhere from $700 to $1,000 depending on how I have it done. I just hope it looks really good when I get it back.

I saw some scaled quail aka blue quail yesterday with a few bobwhite quail mixed in. I got to thinkin it sure would look nice if I could get a one or the other and incorporate that into the fox mount. I don't know if I will or not but it'd look cool I think.

Do it. Those double-animal mounts are cool.

I think they are too. I'd like to get it mounted on a piece of driftwood so I can hang it on the wall next to my gray fox. I wish I'd have thought about it before and had a blue quail mounted with my gray fox and a bobwhite to go with the red. Just to keep things kinda similar. But either way it'd look pretty slick if I can have something like that done.
