Hog hunting bait

Everyone seems to put koolaid or jello in their hog baits. My question is, why use one or the other? Is there something in the jello that is special? Is it just price related?

I think its price related. Something that smells sweet like grape, cherry, or strawberry.

Jello/koolaid is very fragrant. Either will "work", if you buy into it. I use nothing but plain corn. Though, the HEB in Fal had some of the orange bags marked down so i bought them out last month.
