          Euro and tanned hide. I'll hold out for bigger now! Hopefully a shoulder mount is in my future.

          Here is a pic where the arrow ended up. You can see the nock in the red circle. Heck of an angle out of that deer.

                That is awesome Casey! Having a chance at a big Axis is the one thing we miss about not having our place South of Del Rio! So far, no exotics on our Webb County place... I chased a big axis for 3 years on our old place... Blew the only opportunity I had at him... never got the shot off...

                            Congrats, Casey! Axis have become my favorite deer to hunt. I love 'em. I had axis tenderloin for lunch today - sous vide at 128 degrees for 3 hours, then a quick sear in a cast iron skillet with some butter. It's hard to beat! I know y'all will enjoy every bite.
