Hogs and scorpions are not allowed to be shot in the guts. Bobcats are ok I guess. I don’t really know these rules on that

He should be dead by now but they are hard to kill. Also they lay so flat on the ground that they are really hard to find dead. Good luck. Looks like a nice one.

              270 isn't enough gun.

300 win mag at minimum and head shots only. Ive learned a lot of the TX Low Fence and Puro Pinche hunting pages on Face Book this past season.

Doubling back on there trail is a very good possibility. I doubled lung one a couple years ago with my bow. He ran out a good 50 or 75 yards in big circle and came back within 20 feed from where I shot him. He died right in front of me. That all took about 15 to 20 seconds.

It's crazy how tight those things will set when they're scared. They'll get in thick cover and crouch down. I walked right by a big one a few years ago. I knew he was in there so I was gonna walk through and kick him up. He waited until I was way past him before he got up and took off.

A buddy of mine shot one with a 30-06 in the guts one time and found it in a big brush pile. He was gonna try to stab it with a knife so he wouldn't t tear it up any worse than it was already. He crawled in there with it and it cut loose on him. Luckily he had a thick coat on because it sliced and diced him. He said that coat was shredded by the time he got away from that bobcat.

That took guts to do that and he almost lost them.

He's a dingus. I said "Well they do have claws and teeth you know?" He said it acted like it wasn't very lively until he crawled in there.LOL ahahahahahaha That son of a buck is crazy as hell.

No telling what they’ll do. I caught one in a trap a few years ago that had a drag on it. I finally found it about 10’ up a tree dead and hanging by his hind leg.
