We ditched Direct last yr and haven’t missed it a bit.

In Q3 2019 alone, Direct lost 6% of its subscribers... I’m awaiting the Q4 results but expect much of the same. IMHO, they are done. Their business model and poor customer service have been whupped by the explosion of streaming options and the resurrection of antenna.

The full chorus hasn’t started yet, but the munchkins are gathering and are warming up and humming the tune.. “Ding dong the witch is dead...”

Cancelled Direct a couple of mo ths ago and got Hulu, Disney Plus and FRND. The wife was hesitant to change, but after a month says she prefers it to Direct. Watch what you want when you want.

If you have only one streaming, I think Hulu Plus live is the better option. Gives you locals and such.

I DVR 99% of everything I watch. I hate commercials! Can you cut the cord and get normal programming shows without commercials?
I have a year to work on this, I just got $40 knocked back off of my bill.

Hulu offers an Ad-free option, which funny enough doesn't really reduce the ads much. Also if you are watching delayed-live TV, Hulu often will not let you skip commercials.

Perhaps someone who uses Sling can chime in on their experiences.
