Deer Processor Closed Down

Took my deer meat to processor November 11th; only 1 doe. Just was reading through a facebook page setup for Pearland restaurants and someone commented that the restaurant (which is also processes game) is closed down.

Tried calling and sent email as well. No feedback as of yet. Have any of y'all gone through this before?

Processor is Aunties Meat Market. I have no ill-will towards them; actually, they have done a great job on game I previously brought in. They actually had a deer I shot opening weekend this season processed within a week.

When I last talked to the owner, he mentioned that he had to start turning away customers due to the volume. There are others in my shoes who are also waiting for their meat as well.

I went by there yesterday afternoon. The business is indeed closing, but current processing orders are still being fulfilled. I've got two deer there myself. I hate to see them closing. I dropped the deer I was carrying at Stone Cold Meats in League City. A bit expensive but they have quite an extensive selection of sausage / brats to choose from.

Got a call from Saturday stating I needed to come in and pick up "property or product". Got there and the only thing they had for me was my cooler which was uncleaned, with blood splatter and a piece of rotting meat inside. Both WT does I'd dropped for processing were gone. It's sad the deer died for no reason.
