10-14 days for me. Sometimes longer. I would be more concerned with the amount of time it takes to remove hide and guts to put on ice with temps outside, as opposed to a little water or ice being on meat - deer or hog. I been icing for 30 plus years and never had anyone say anything about the quality of the game. My old man did the same. To each there own. I will stand in the long line of hunters that will take any quartered deer that may been spoiled in ice.
