    Subsonic penetration

    300 gr. 44mag
    1,000 fps
    Ruger 77/44
    Angling towards me. Entrance high front left shoulder. Exit back right ham. Broke back leg on it's way out.
    Number 96 since spring time, with this rifle. Pellet gun quiet.

    125 yards, have taken big boers at 225 yds, with complete pass throughs. Just need a bit of elevation.

          if i ever get a can it will be for use on a 44 marlin, running those 300 gr bullets,,, great choice!

            Where'd you buy your Ruger from? And how much $ if you don't mind me asking? I have a 77/22 in the same configuration and it's stupid quiet also.

                Not subsonic, but I’ve had similar experience with a 300 grain solid out of the 44. The cow in my avatar was hit 3 times, and only one bullet stayed in. Shattered the on-side shoulder too

                  Nice. Here's my subsonic 454. I've had the bullet guy cast me the same bullets with no antimony but haven't had the chance to send them through anything yet.

                    Subsonic penetration

                    I haven’t shot anything at distance with my 458 Socom with 500 grain subsonics suppressed but the most impressive I’ve shot is a 200# boar in a trap that went stem to stern through the boar and then through the square tubing frame of the door.
