Wife lost a few hens the last couple of nights.. My youngest son was staying up playing video games last night so I told him go come get me if he hears the dog barking.. around 1230 he comes and wakes me up. Sure enough boar coon in the coop. He was trying to hide his eyes from the light but he didn't succeed. One good wack in the head with a 2x4 and he won't be eating anymore chickens... + 1 to 902Comment

Haven't had any coons all summer and just like that, they were back.
Walked down in the dark before bed a couple nights ago, to the feeder with my .22 and nailed 3 before they could scamper away under the solar lights.
Set a dogproof by my feed shed and caught another and then last night back to the feeder right after dark with the .22 got 2 more. Now the buzzards are everywhere scaring the deer off.Comment

937. How’d I miss this one Jason? 9 so far since I set up my feeder on the new homestead. They are fewer as of late but I’m sure more will find their way in. The third picture actually died in the cage in less than 8 hours. Not sure if it was from the heat or he just worked himself into a heart attack. The last picture it all just started as a happy happy party.
