Went to Conroe weekend before last and caught a few. They acted like they were still in the late summer doldrums. Report says they are still slow. Seems like they shut down till the water cools off.

Today was tough but they put 30 in the cooler including back to back 2 pounders!

Cleaned 200 something fish last week! Gotta get this work week out of the way and then head to Branson and hopefully fish for 7 days straight!

I've already got most of my Monday done already being the hard worker I am. Contemplating loading the boat up after lunch! That sure was a fine way to start last week!

Maybe head to lake Hawkins and fish clear water for angry black crappie! Man they fight hard.

Gonna warm up to 45 and pour rain all day tomorrow. Need to make the cut to 50 tomorrow. I won’t be surprised if we don’t. Can catch fish all over the lake they’re just all the same lousy size and our draw is terrible. End of the last flight so gonna be 90 something boats fishing before us. I still love the excitement of tournament crappie fishing. Learned to add waders and neoprene gloves and a thermos to my crappie tourney pack list! In fact we haven’t bought a bag of ice all week.
