Installed my Garmin depthfinder and Livescope this morning and decided to run out to Palestine to test it out. We found them under docks and shooting docks is my son and my favorite way to catch them so we never ended up using the Livescope. NExt purchase...very soon is an Ultrex or a Force.

I don’t know if youve ever tried a Pro Angler crappie rod but I have a few and absolutely love them. Not expensive either. Want to try a G-Rod but they are pricey.

I've never had a dedicated crappie rod. Have always used my 7-7'6 ML rods with 10-15lb braid.

What am I missing out on?

I love the ACC Crappie Stix. They are very sensitive and very fast tip, but have plenty of backbone to pin the hooks deep. Cheaper rods dont allow you to feel the bite as good. It's like driving a hellcat vs a v6. Theyll both do the job, but one is way more fun.

Think Slew had some he was clearing out not long ago.

I’ve got some Pro Anglers left and a couple dock shooters from Bass Pro. Dock shooters are 4.5’ and the PAs are 10 and 12 I think?

They have moved back deep here in LOP and I have been getting a limit every afternoon.
I am supposed to work from home until these virus mess clears up.
So I have been fishing pretty much every afternoon
I was catching them yesterday and called a buddy that I knew was on the lake to let him know where I was catching them. He was busy catching catfish in 20ish of water under corks.

It sounded like fun so I headed to the nearest flooded timber and caught them as fast as I could get them in the boat. I pitched the cats back as I don’t care to clean them but it was a lot of fun to watch that cork going under

Well bad news. The old Evinrude is toast. Locked up when it shut down the other day. No reason why, good fuel, good water pressure, guess it decided 45 years was enough service for one motor. We had a good run.

Luckily my friend just took a clean 1987 Yamaha 90 on trade today and I think I'm going to upgrade.
