Back before you could find it for dogs, I gave my last lab osteo biflex. She was 5 and on pain killers to be bearable. After a week, she was as active as a puppy again. Afterward, only when she showed a little pain or after a hard hunt, she would get a couple pills of the human glucosamine and would be fine to hunt for days at a time. That was around 2003 when I would guide sometimes 5 days per week.

Yes. Food additive during meals based on weight and dosage. Also have an additive for dental care and Glucosamine in his water. World of difference.

Human glucosamine may be cheaper (if your dog will eat it).

I give my dog krill oil human pills (i pop the pills and put it on her food).

I sometimes question the quality of what goes into OTC pet meds.
