    Lease opening runnels county

I will be getting off of our lease in runnels county. I found something closer for me. My land owner is looking for someone to lease it for the following year. I would like the who ever leases to purchase my feeders and deer stands as well. I'm not looking to move them to my new lease. The place is 160 acres with 3 blinds and feeders. All gun stands. The property is in the Colorado river and loaded with game. Plenty of whitetail and a few axis. This would be a great opportunity for a family lease. It has a rv hookup and the landowners have a house you can stay at aswell that is beautiful. The house is rented out separately on a daily basis at 150 a night (2 bedroom, livingroom, and full bathroom). You can also drag a rv down there if you like. Price for the lease is 6500 a year total or you can split it 3 ways. You can pm me and I have pictures of deer taken this season and game camera pictures aswell. Honestly it's a great lease I just cant do the 7 hour drive anymore. I'm also looking to get 1500 for my deerstand and feeder.

$40 an acre. This should be moved to Encinal’s thread about lease prices and trophy hunts. It’s all relative and is probably well worth it though.

Just seems a little.... well very expensive. I grew up in Runnels county. Maybe things have changed drastically, I can’t fathom 160 acres being worth anywhere near $6500... But, maybe this is the hidden gem of the county. Not trying to be a jerk, I just saw the price and about fell over. If the land owner can get it, more power to him I guess.

I leased in Runnels for 18 years. Lots of deer and turkeys where mine was. Things change I guess. I left mostly because of the drive also, but the LO went up on the price twice in that timeframe. I shudder to think what it would be now for 1400 acres.

Very good deer numbers on the lease with a pretty decent amount of axis. 6500 doesn't seem out of reason compared to what I've seen around the area. Plus this place is turn key ready with feeders, feed pens and, deerstands.
