Anybody fish around Port Mansfield? Headed down there for a few days and have no idea what to expect. Not overly concerned with numbers, more interested in big trout. I'm an upper coast guy and have never fished south of Galveston bay, so I have no idea what to expect, other than it to be completely different than galv/Sabine.

Had the opportunity to do a little bow fishing with some TBH family, first time for me and gotta say I had a real good time, so good I think am going back lol- we got 8 buffalo carp over 40lbs and the heaviest was 63 lbs got 6’ and 5’ gar!!

(Galveston Bay) Me and momma had about 2 hours to make a quick run into the protected marsh yesterday before dark. End up catching about 12 trout on plastics in a big drain with mud and shell mix. Felt good to snag a few and get the new boat fishy.

All you need is plum/treuse Hogie super minnow. Lol. I’ll be out there tomorrow. Wish this wind would die a little.
