Caught around 9 dink trout early and then headed to the back lakes. Walked into a lake full of reds... caught an easy limit once I found them... still can't figure out the trout this year. Reds were a blast...

still can't figure out the trout this year. Reds were a blast...

I can tell you but you ain't gonna like it. I've had quite a few limits down there the last few weeks. The trout are there but they aren't where you want them to be. And I really believe you can thank the 100 boats per day running back and forth over the grass beds instead of running out deep for it.

I was fishing a Salt Assassin LSU color.... vudu caught all the dinks and the SA caught all the reds... who knows?

Found a little back lake absolutely slammed with reds. No tails, a little too deep but slamming the bank and wakeing real hard. Left them biting in there. They were hungry!
