Went to the south shoreline of West Galveston bay this AM. Scattered storms around ,but SE wind wasn't too bad. Water was trout green, good incoming tide & lots of bait. Threw plastics for 3 hours & never got a bump. Not a single bump! Even the VUDU couldn't make it work today. Talked to 2 other waders throwing plastic & they had Nada. 3 separate groups of bait fisherman & not a keeper fish between them. Still better than being in Houston.

I can use any type of tackle. Baitcast, spinning or fly I can do it all.

You'd be surprised how many people can screw up a spinning reel.

A few weeks ago I had 5 women on the boat with me, don’t tell me you can’t backlash a spinning reel. I saw some reels get trashed that morning.

Nice catch on the big ugly! I had really good luck on those several years ago with a white rattle trap. Ironically enough, sheepshead liked that bait too.
