I shot my first axis buck yesterday and it is in full velvet. I hesitated taking the shot thinking that it would grow taller, but my excitement got the best of me and I chose to take the shot. Now I’m trying to decide on a shoulder mount, European mount or just settle for a nice pic of it since the prices for mounting and preserving the velvet is crazy expensive. Anybody have a good taxi recommendation if I chose to spend the money? Thanks in advance!
