As for food and a good "date" place I live here and this is one of my personal favorites...good food, good service, and reasonable prices. It's not cheap, but it's really good.

You can't beat the venue at John T. Floore's dancehall.......but if you eat at the Grey Moss Inn, be ready to drop some coin. The food is worth it though.....

For dinner.... Saltgrass Steakhouse on I-10 and Huebner. Great food but call ahead cause the wait is long. For music.... definitely Floore's dance hall.

Casbeer's At The Church for live music.

The venue is an old Methodist church. Stained glass, pews and awesome acoustics. Plus, you can drink beer in the pews. The restaurant downstairs isn't bad either.

You can hit up Sam's Burger Joint as well for grub and live music.

Hit up Floores. On Wed, they have live music at the county line BBQ, get in free with a can food donation. There is also the one that just opened up across from sea world, I can't recall its name, but I want to call the stock yards or Corral.
