Converting a corn feeder to protein

On our place we have an old 600lb Gamewinner feeder like this.

We want to convert it to a protein feeder. We have one of these we can attach.

However because of the height of the feeder the tube is too short for the spouts to reach down to the recommended 42" off the ground. Reckon there is an easy way to extend the tube or should we pursue another option? (I don't see where Academy sells extra pieces and I don't want to shorten the legs if I can help it) I don't weld so it would have to be a screw-together deal. Also does anyone know if we could add a Hammer timer to this set up? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

We would only have to add about 6". The pipe is 4" diameter (I think)

I bet game winner sells those sections, you could add one in.

Also, I think the Hammer adds some lenght to the overall setup as well.

If all else fails, a muffler shop can weld on whatever you need, you may need their help adapting the Hammer anyway.

Just get a piece of PVC that the tube you have will slide into & run a couple bolts through it.

Heck I was thinking self tapping screws. Shouldn't be bad at all.

Dig 6” holes to slip your feeder legs into.

if you get the Hammer you will extend it by 10-12 inches. Don't tell my wife that though .
