I have a nice kydex holster, carry IWB in the small of my back. It’s comfortable, all day, even working around the ranch, or even playing golf.

No, I do not buy bigger pants, or a special belt.

As for a safe, I bought a Fort Knox for my truck. It’s pretty fantastic, and much more substantial than most of the small safes on the market.

If you work in shorts, no shirt and can not ( don’t want) it to be seen, smart carry. I use one because I can wear 100% concealed no matter what ( or what I dont wear). Shorts no shirt, sweats, trunks, no belt needed. Plus no matter what iam doing, volleyball, softball, mountain biking, pretty much any work or sport. So comfortable i even sleep with it on a lot of times.

I really like the Capone from Flash Bang for pistols that size. I work outside, sweat quite a bit and have a similar frame. It’s very comfortable and tuck-able. I also would recommend carrying everyday regardless of plans for later that day. If your worried about leaving it in the vehicle there are several “safe” options for vehicles.

I am going to state the obvious here. The micro 9 was meant to be carried in a pocket holster was it not? I carry the same gun in a small pocket holster and can carry it all day. I've never found an all day holster. I've tried the cross, alien gear, etc. Closest I've ever come is the N82 mentioned above.

That would be ideal, but I don’t want it moving in my pocket all day especially when my I carry a knife, flashlight, and keys. Not planning on leaving it unloaded in my pocket either. I wear shorts in the late spring/summer so I want it to be secure and not moving all over the place. Mainly I want it out of the way more than anything.

I tried IWB & just didn't care for it. Now that we're able to open carry, I wear an OWB but not exposed. If it happens to become exposed, I just pull my shirt back over it. I think you'd be much happier carrying OWB working outside all day.

I carry a full size M&P 9mm in a Desantis cozy partner IWB. I love it and it’s very comfortable.

Get ready to try a bunch of different holsters. My first was a shield 40 and an aliengear iwb. Then went to a a xd40 and a appendix. Then a Glock 19 and a vedder iwb/bravo owb. The last one is pretty much what I’ve settled on.

I would buy a few holsters from companies that offer “test drives” and see what you like best.

Love my aliengear stuff and desantis for OWB carry.

I think the best advice is go ahead and drop a few hundy and try out 3-4 different ones, online testimonials and reviews don't do anything for you, you gotta experience it. I have ALOT of holsters at the house lol but I know what I like to use depending on what I'm wearing. It's easy to carry when you can wear a vest or jacket all day, it gets harder during the summer with a shirt tucked in (assuming you may be in an office).

Other thing that is just as important is to get a good gun belt, I had an alien gear one forever that I still wear. Right now I'm wearing this one.

I use CYA kydex holsters. They are small and simple.. I didn't care for the felt padded ones because after sweating a while they smell sour.
The smaller the holster to me the more comfortable. I carry a g 19 in shorts and a tee shirt. Now that open carry is legal I'd like to try an otwb. Holster. As long as my shirt covers it most of the time I'm good with it.
Carrying itwb takes some getting use too.. make your belt as tight as comfortable so your pants dont sag and it will feel better..

I Don't like kydex every one I have tried has pinched. Several years ago had a friend suggest Milt Sparks in horse hide been using them ever since. i carry either a full size 1911 or a 4" 1911 every day. As far as carrying where you are not supposed to if I can't carry I usually don't go.

I have pocket holsters from Sticky and from DeSantis. The outer material of the holster grips the pocket well enough to keep my P232 stationary inside the pocket...although it wouldn’t be ideal for a number of reasons to carry cocked and locked in a pocket holder inside a shorts pocket.

Recommend getting a good gun belt along with your new holster.

I just can't do an IWB holster. I've been carrying forever and it just isn't comfortable for me, regardless of the holster. I like my pants to fit and don't want to have to by a size up to accommodate a holster. I rarely ever tuck in my shirt so I wear a gun belt for gun support and carry OWB and love it. I carry my smaller lower profile guns in summer and a commander size 1911 in the winter when more clothes or a jacket is worn. A gun is going to get dirty and need cleaned regularly no matter where you carry it.
