Going to Arkansas soon and was wandering what the laws say about the right to carry a handgun while traveling. I know we have the Castle law in Texas but do they have the same law in Ar??? I can't seem to find it anywhere.Any body here know???

Never mind! Looks like I'm going to have to leave the piece at home when I go. Just found out. Dang it! I just don't see why it has to be different for every state! It is our constitutional right to have guns on our persons! This seems like it should be more of a fed thing than a state thing. Then again I live in Texas when Obama is pres, so I guess it could be a good thing too! -

Texas has reciprocity with Arkansas on concealed carry--it is legal to carry. But the 'Castle Doctrine' law is a horse of a different color'...check with online sources like Arkansas Highway Patrol or local police departments.Comment

we travel to Arkasansas all the time and my CHL carries over for LA and Ark.. Dont know about if you dont have a chl...just one more gray area and reason to get it.
