    Leaf/Tree ID Help Please

    I know we have some real knowledgeable tree people on the GS, can you guys tell me what this is? Thanks

            "White Oak" is like saying your a Homo Sapien when someone asks your origin. That is a "Overcup" Oak (Quercus lyrata)......in The White Oak Section of trees that also include Burr Oak, Mossy.....and White Oak among others...

              Assuming the tree is mature, overcups are generally "t" shaped. I believe that's a true white oak.. post a pic of an acorn as oak leaves can vary, especially leaves that are more shaded vs on the ends of branches.

                        You are most likely referring to a "Post Oak" (Quercus stellata) as a T-shaped leaf. Overcup leaves are not T-shaped
