                Property pin, usually at the corner of the property.

                    Iron rod stake with a plastic cap on it. Survey marker. My survey/land has those on all corners.

                      Lol. I guess I should have been more clear. It's near it, not on it. Maybe 50-75 yards away. So if it is, the fence line is way off.

                        Have you had anyone out there from forestry department. We have a few of those. they came out and took data of every tree in a small circle section. like a 40 yard circle. Then they come back in 10 years and recount. that pin is the same as the pin we have in the center of the circle.

                          I don’t know? Some fences are built to keep livestock in/out
                          And don’t convey the true property boundaries
                          Do you own or lease?
                          I have seen fences that are built around geographic inconsistencies
