Your second pic is Erie. Looks exactly like our setup on matagorda island from a few years ago.

I have the same cabelas tent, two blue tarps in the same exact location on the shelter and even the same cooler.

I showed my son and he thought it was a pic of our set up.

lol that's awesome. If you get out there from time to time we've probably talked, we frequent the area quite a bit especially in duck season.

Apparently I haven't taken many pics of our various camps, that's a shame we've been in some good ones. Here's a few I found.

Made me think the same thing. Before kids, i spent more nights in a tent, on the ground or in the back of the truck than anyone i knew. Never took pics of the set ups. O well, guess i need to change that now that the kids are getting old enough.

Returning to camp after a day of elk hunting. We had 3" more overnight.
It sucked waking up to stiff frozen boots and frozen pant legs. You get up and moving quick.

I've done plenty of backpacking but hunting anything based out of my 12'x14' wall tent makes for a dream. This particular hunt was New Mexico elk.
