There is or was a place in Matagorda right across the bridge on the river that served a huge burger called the River Burger. It was awesome but that was about 20 years ago. If the place is still there I’d definitely try it again.

I’m near New Braunfels so will have to give this place a try. Especially the fries, although I’m not sure I understand the “ice cold baby blues” reference (ice cold beer? or do you have to have blue eyes?) and how it might affect the taste of the fries.

Will report my findings.

Cruising around the state on a motorcycle is great with a cold beer and a burger along the way. I'll be searching this thread for future stops!!

My goto stop is Pivo's icehouse in Fayetteville for the Lone Oak burger.

Lankford’s opened a location in Bellaire, for the Houston folks.

While is is Lankford’s, I would wait a while til they get the bugs worked out. Their service was downright horrible, but they have only been open a week or so.
