What sets them apart hunting wise from other 400fps crossbows? Hypothetically aren't all crossbows that are of the same velocity capable of the same things? Does this crossbow actually increase your effective hunting range if you do your part? Just wondering if they are that good or if there may be some cheerleading going on.Anybody with actual experience?

I bought my wife a Tenpoint Stealth NXT this past August that is almost as narrow as the Ravin and shoots 385 fps. It is definitely a flat shooter and very accurate. While I'm sure it can shoot well out to 100 yards (As The Ravin is "Marketed"), I think its foolish and irresponsible to attempt a kill on an animal at that distance. Theres just too many variables that affect arrow/bolt POI at that distance, not to mention the animal moving.
