    Cuddelink Dual Cell Question

Can anyone tell me if you can retrieve pictures from Cuddelink dual cell camera, model K-5789? Does it have a card you can pull to look at pictures from it and your other cameras? The wed site states you have to have a cell plan for this model but does not clear if you can retrieve your photos manually.

Yes. You will be able to pull the full size images off the card you put in the camera. Even my cell home that’s not even a camera has a card to hold all pics from all cams.

I ended up pulling the trigger on the Farmstead Outdoors deal that was discussed here last week. I'm buying some property and I decided this was a good entry into the meshed camera system. The two remote units shipped quickly and I registered for the home unit today.

I know Cuddelink recently changed to D cell batteries to make the units last longer, although I always thought D cell had gone the way of the dinasaur! Anyway, what D Cell batts are y'all using? Is it worth getting rechargeable or are y'all just using quality Energizer alkalines?

I am running 8 cameras and the D batteries are doing great, lots of pictures.

Now my home cell unit eats them in about a month. Even with the extra booster battery pack thing. I have it set to send pictures every time I get 30 in it. Prolly too often. I am about to go solar and rechargeable on the home cell.

I was about to start a thread to ask this very question

Figured D cells were like 15" tires

Thanks for the help. And a big shout out to Nate with Buck Stop for answering some questions for me.

Any feedback on battery life for the D Cell CuddePower? Is it worth it to use external battery with solar for the Home unit assuming it’s the one that uses batteries the fastest?

I think I got about 3 months out of the first set but it didn't take/send a bunch of pictures

Yes, having the solar is the way to go so you don't have to worry about batteries going out on you.

Is that for all cameras or primarily the Home? Thanks

It's going to help for all cameras but the home will be the one that gets the most drain.
