I've had the pleasure of grooming a little 50 acre piece of Heaven the last 6 years. Feed year round and plant food plots. Watched this buck grow for the last 3 years. I feel very certain he is a 5+ year old deer. With over 30 hunts and 100 hours on stand looking for this deer I named Long Tine Larry for obvious reasons. Never seen him in person. Well my 14 yrd old decided she wanted to hunt with Dear old Dad last Saturday afternoon. First time she has ever hunted this property with me, because I only had a 4x4 blind there. Needless to say 1 hour and 10 minutes into her hunt, Larry walks out downwind and started feeding. She made a perfect shot with her .243. I could not be more proud of her and this deer.

Man what a deer! I grew up and still hunt on the place where I grew up in grimes county and I can for sure tell you, that is a tank for this area! Curious what part of the county you hunt. I hunt between Iola and Bedias. My wife killed an 8 last year that is one of the biggest we’ve seen on our place. It’s been pretty slow this year on quality. Lol
