If you know it's a lethal shot, don't move or make a noise that might cause it to run. A questionable shot, of course shoot again.

They CAN'T inhale and exhale, like he was clearly doing in the video, after a double lung shot..

I’m saying you would expect most hunters to put a deer down ASAP, instead of watching a critter walk off....

I agree with putting another one in them as fast as you can, but when I had a similar situation, I didn't. I shot an elk at 32yds. He flinched like a bee stung him and then stood there looking around as I nocked another arrow. I could see him bleeding, but when he turned it was literally spraying every time his heart beat. He was calm and dying so I let him die. He walked slowly for about 20yds, stumbled once and fell over graveyard dead. I honestly thought that if I stuck him again he was gonna haul ***.

Dont have a big issue with a second shot not being shot. I probably would have shot a 2nd.

My issue is the posting of the video. Doesnt put the best foot forward for bowhunting.

I didnt say he was double lunged.
That was jtlarkin insinuating a second shot double lunging him would have put him down.
                Keep the **** up.

If he is in sight and in range, I'm slinging arrows until he is lying there dead. I have only had a single follow up shot shot opportunity on a standing deer. She would have died but she stopped at 47 yards so I sent another.

There’s a pile of videos of “athletes” and “influencers” gut shooting deer. This guy makes a great shot and videos the deer bleed out and die in front of him and he somehow still did it wrong??? I swear hunters are the worst arm chair quarterbacks in the world. Who cares what you or I would have done. His name is Olympicbowhunter on IG if y’all want to check him out. I feel like he’s been around the block enough to earn the right to decide for himself wether he wants to shoot another arrow or not.

Arrow #2 is on the way. Quick kill is the ultimate goal.

I don't care about the video.....better than watching msnbc

I didn't watch the video, but from the sound of it I would not have shot again. Odds are a spooked and running deer would be the outcome instead of a calm dying deer. Bows kill by hemorrhage and if it was pouring blood, seems like that goal was met.

So more blood means more deader "Send it!"

First thing I would have done is make another shot

Second thing is, I would NOT have posted the video on SM, but I don't post anything on FB, IG, etc I see no reason to tell the world what I am doing. I might send it to some close friends, but that would be it
