    Washing Machine Reccommendations

Guys and Gals, looks like I get a new washing machine for Christmas, Yeah me!

I did a search and didn’t find a whole lot of discussion on the better rands now days, so I was wondering what the green screen had to say.

i have already researched Speed Queen, but was curious what else is out there. I prefer top load and one with an agitator if possible.

Bought a Speed Queen 2 years ago to replace a front loader that we hated. It's great, We bought my parents another one this year. We are very happy with Speed Queen.

Check Consumer Reports. They show the best top loader with agitator to be a Maytag, followed by GE, then Kenmore.

I use a Jennifer...very efficient and still working after many years. There are many different named models, but I'd recommend one that can also make sandwiches and do "other stuff". Good Luck.

Like above. Speed Queen. Mine is about 10 years old and been through two teenage boys that are athletes. There is a reason hotels and laundrymats run them

We just upgraded from GE to Samsung. All our friends that have gone to Samsung love them. Our previous washer started on fire two weeks ago. A capacitor (I think) melted, dripping burning plastic everywhere. We dodged a bullet, I thought for sure the whole house was burning down. I would post photo's if I could.

I would highly suggest not GE. Our Samsung barely makes any noise and uses half the water of our old washer. It's pretty awesome.
