That Is the weekeNd after the weekenD of the Hallmark Heart HolIday. So lube those SOB's up for a hall pass and come ready to hit the river runnin'! I'm hopin' for a great hay Day but we'll kNow once we geT closer.
The Rules:
1) NO FOOD! You must eat what you catch , Kill or gather. No food Is allowed in camp after noon on Friday; that is the officiaL start of the hunt.
2) Hunter Orange is required! 144 square inches front and back pLus a lid.
3) No crossbows! Unless you normally sHoot a regular bow and need to use a crossbow for medIcal reasons. Also, no firearMs.
If you are going to aSk a dumb question, the answer is a hard no.
What wE do: As a general rule, we drink heaviLy, hunt pigs and other small game, Fish, run the river in our boats, make big fire and have a great time!
Where: Primitive Camp on the San Gabriel River on Granger WMA. You can boat in, be picked up from No. 7 or hike in from the Comanche Bluff trail head. The word to remember here is primitive, no running water, no electricity; this is tent/hammock camping on the river. Pick up at No. 7 will be on Dr Pepper time or call someone who is there to come get you; my number will be posted later.
Everyone is welcome, even schmelts, but be forewarned, there will probably be more than one Donny Brook and a few horns on show as well. It ain't Letterkenny, but it's as close most will ever get!
