Woodpecker pecked/broke my lens on my Gam Cam

3 of my Wildgame Innovations Gam Cams stopped working after a woodpecker or something pecked the lens on the motion detector lens part of my camera. These cams do look like natural tree bark and I guessed fooled the woodpecker in to thinking it was a tree. My other cams are just brown plastic and did not suffer the same fate.

I looked on the Wildgame Innovations website and could not find replacement lens parts.

Anyone ever have this same problem and did you every find replacement
    lenses?

I've had this same thing happen to 2 of my Brownings. I called browning and they sent me 2 new lenses for free. You may call Wildgame.

Sounds like a BB gun is what you need?

        Just kidding
Maybe glass covering that instead of plastic.
I just rigged my photo cell with a piece of plastic coke bottle.

It has happened to me. I don't know why they do this!

I don't know that it's always a woodpecker. I've lost two brownings simply because the little plastic lense got brittle from the sun. They don't seem to last for squat unless you keep them entirely in the shade. I now mount mine under a cover to keep the sun off and they last longer. Browning sent me 2 free lenses as well and I just replaced them and all was well.

Cardinals will do it to. I’ve replaced a bunch on my own ordering them from a DIY game camera place online

Glad to hear the companies sending new lens replacements. I am going to call them tomorrow and see what they will do.

                Thanks!

Darn things have gotten three of my cameras. Browning sells new lens, fairly easy to replace.
