    Target Advice

I have a Morrell Six Shooter target right now and it is only about a month old and I am gettin pass thrus on it. I only use field points on the target. I was wondering what target you guys prefer. I want to quit tearing off my fletchings.

I have the Cabela's brand that is like the Block but not as thick. I haven't had a pass through yet. I bought it in August 08 and i've only shot it with field tips.

The Glendale targets are great until you shoot broadheads, then they get cut up pretty quick.

I like my small black hole layered target. The mutitude of spot to shot at is fun. I get my girls to run to the target and point at a star for me to shoot at.

I have been shooting at it all fall with both field tips and practice g5 montec and no pass through yet. Nice price under $40 at academy

I have the BPS/Redhead brand layered target and have been putting about 200 a week in it for the last 3-4 months, all with fields, and have not had a problem with it. I think it was right at $40 also.

i have been using the cabelas c-bag target for nearly a year and no issues yet. it helps to have a hanging stand for it to let the swing absorb some of the impact and switch sides every week to keep the stuffing taking equal abuse.

Get a bag target, layered targets never outlast them.
