It is on. 10 days ago I had 11 bucks grunting and scraping at one feeder. Now it seems like many are in lock down. Saw a 140" class buck locked on a doe in a high fence just down the road. We are not seeing the big bucks at the feeders.

We were down there this last weekend, shot this guy cruising in a canyon at noon. He stunk like he was rutting. Biggest buck I've seen on this unmanaged ranch on the Llano in the past 10 years.

Saw some dark hocks last weekend. Moon had me wondering with the warmer weekend on movement and rut activity.

Finished up a successful weekend at my place near Doss. Brought home 2 does. Bucks were still bachelored up although they were showing signs of breaking up soon. A small number of bucks were running does but it didn't seem like they were at peak rut. I'll be back out there next weekend...weekend before Thanksgiving is typically peak of the rut at my place

Rattled in several bucks this past weekend. 15 miles west of Mason.
