Moving Box Stand with Polaris Ranger Help

I’ve got a 4x6 by 6.5’ y’all box stand with a metal overhang roof, that I need to move. Used to have a guy on our lease with a small trailer that made projects like this easy. Have a 20’ trailer but can’t get it back to where this blind is located.

Any hints/help for moving this blind on the back of a ranger?

I have knock off blind elevators and 4x4 posts the blind is resting on so backing up and getting the blind onto the back of the ranger isn’t bad. Is the bed long enough for 4’ width? Just throw a big ratchet strap around it and head out? Any issues with tipping the ranger if I have a climb to make to get to it’s new location?

Interesting idea but I’m going to be moving 1/4-1/2 mile away across some rocky terrain and all sand that I’d worry may burry. But do have access to a tractor with bucket to semi lift and drag on sleds.

4x6 in the bed of my Can-Am. Hauled several this way. I found it's best to run the strap around the back and pull in forward towards the cab and hook it on the roll bar. I have taking this set up through steep creeks and up steep hills with no problem.

I made a sled out of 2” x 12”’s. I had 12 ft boards and put the blind on the back. It created leverage to get the front of the sled off the ground. I strapped the front of the sled to the back rack of a 4 wheeler. Then strapped the blind to the sled. Worked out real good

Drwilliams I didn’t think about that the bed is probably more than 4 foot wide. I was visually mixing setting the blind with the 6’ wide across the bed and riding it on top. Your setup seems much more reasonable. Wondering if the blind elevators on the corners will still fit so it will ride.

Move it with the tractor. Turn your bucket over like you’re dumping dirt until the top and cutting edge of the bucket both touch the blind at once. Ratchet strap the hell out of it, pick it up and go. Be careful though, you can turn a small tractor over pretty easily. Moved several with my backhoe just like that.

I move shooting houses with the legs attached with the front end loader on my tractor. Just pull up to it with the bucket. Have the bottom of the bucket right at the base of the shooting house and the top of the bucket also flush with the wall. Put a big thick ratchet strap all the way around the shooting house and attach it to each side of the bucket and tighten it up. Then lift up on the bucket and slightly tilt the bucket back at the same time. Now you can just drive it where you want and set it back down. Moved many stands this way. If you dont want to scar up the stand wall with the bucket, temporarily put some 2x4's between the bucket and the stand.

I dont remember how wide my bed is. I think 50" wide if my memory serves me correctly and around 58"-60" long with the tailgate down. I have moved 4 around this size several different times with no issues. I'm not sure the elevator brackets will work if they are still on the stand unless you run it on top of the rails.
