    Hearing protection

So the only shot I take this year and my left ear was ringing. Makes me hesitant to take another shot because I value my hearing greatly.

I am looking at the electronic ear muffs that I can wear and not have to worry about that aspect of it. I shoot a simple 270 caliber rifle. Any recommendations from people who use these? Thanks

Ear muffs help , but hearing damage can also be transmitted trough the facial area to the inter ear “ so says my ear nose and throat dr and audiologists “

I use ear muffs. I just pull them down when I’m going to shoot. When I’m duck hunting I wear ear plugs. I wear them at work all day long so it’s pretty much second nature for me though.

Howard Leight by Honeywell Impact Sport Sound Amplification Electronic Shooting Earmuff, Classic Green (R-01526) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001T7QJ9O..._tQWXDb0JQ5TD8

These are the muffs you want.

Slender enough not to interfere with you cheek well and buttstock when taking aim.

Besides that I also keep some push in earplugs on a string around my neck and jam them in if I have time.
        Double protection never hurt.

Lots of Bowtech shooters have had success with earmuffs over earplugs.

Bought my grandson a pair of walkers, he loves them.

MSA Sordin supreme pro headset is a good investment if you shoot often
